Cornerstone Commercial is launched

ESTATE agency Cornerstone has forged a new partnership to strengthen its activities in the commercial property market.

Cornerstone, which has branches at Denby Dale, Kirkburton and Honley, has linked up with Scissett-based chartered surveyor Adrian Wilson to formally launch Cornerstone Commercial. The new service – running alongside its estate agency work – will focus on commercial property sales, lettings and management in the Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Wakefield and Barnsley areas.

Mr Wilson has more than 20 years experience in the business as a chartered surveyor. Justin Dugdale, of Cornerstone, said: “The service will build on our wealth of local property knowledge to ensure we satisfy the requirements of our customers – whether they are owners looking to sell or lease their properties, investors or tenants looking for suitable business premises.

“We also aim to offer a comprehensive and cost-effective commercial property management service for people with a single property of a portfolio of properties.”

Mr Dugdale, who is based at Cornerstone’s offices in Wakefield Road, Denby Dale, said: “We have predominantly dealt with residential property, but we have frequently dealt with local business people selling commercial properties. Now we want to build up that part of the business.” He said properties had been selling in the commercial sector, adding: “We are seeing more enquiries for start units. They are proving very popular.”
